Zathura
Pressman Toy came to Meyer/Glass Design with the Zathura license and a picture of the board that was going to be in the movie and needed a game. The Zathura story only has 7 cards in it and most of the time you’re moving backwards. With a co-worker we developed workable game play and I wrote all of the cards and created the house puzzle, so players could see the house falling apart, like they do in the movie. If all of the pieces of the house are removed during play, the game wins so the players are not only racing to the finish but must also work together.
I also helped our amazing model maker develop the card spitting dashboard. Twist the red key, push the button and “Ding” out shoots a card just like in the movie. It’s magic!
